Ambassador Antje Leendertse has handed over her letter of credence to the Director-General of UNOG Michael Møller in Geneva on February 8th 2017.
Thereby, Germany once again has a Permanent Representative to the Office of the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva.
Ambassador Leendertse previously worked as Head of the task force for Germany’s OSCE Chairmanship 2016 aiming at “renewing dialogue, building trust and strengthening security”. She is looking forward to continuing her work in this spirit in Geneva: “Many problems can’t be solved by States alone – the international institutions provide us with important support in doing so. I am convinced that Geneva’s multilateralism will be needed in the years to come.”
