Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Germany Leading the Way

On the occasion of the 19th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC)
there was an interactive panel discussion held on „Participation of Persons
with Disabilities in Political and Public Life“. Among the panellists was the German Rapporteur of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Dis-abilities (CRPD) Prof. Mrs. Theresia Degener.
The national statement of Deputy Permanent Representative Konrad Scharinger explained German policy on the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities.
